Is America going to get a totalitarian government?

We have had a totalitarian Govt. sense the late 1960s, when they discovered they could use the media to tell us anything and we would believe it completely. That was also about the time they realized we were too large and segmented of a population to unify and oppose them in any way....by the way, did you have an actual question or were you just monologuing about your latest library book?
